7:30 am Sunday morning. I'm standing in front of my mirror after a tiresome weekend, beginning my hair and make up in order to make it to our 9:o0 am church.
#1: Mom, why do your eyes look like that?
me: (honestly bewildered) Like what?
#1: Like monster eyes.
Indeed I do have saggy, puffy monster eyes. 30 is awesome.
I'd pity you if I weren't already more than half way between 30 and 40. :)
Kids' honesty can sure be brutal, though. Girl 1 here keeps telling us that the house is messy. You'd have to know their background to know what a stinging slap that is, but the reality is that everything that's "messy" is their toys that we've tried teaching them to clean up. So we patiently calm down, then we explain that the reason she sees a mess is because she *made* a mess. She's only 3, but she's starting to "get it." She cleans up after herself a lot more than she used to . . . but it's still not very often.
30 is young, vibrant and AWESOME. You have nothing to fear, J. :)

I was going to tell you that the last time I saw you, so I'm glad #1 let you know. ;)
Kids honesty is awesome! I say we duct tape their innocent little mouths shut!
Ya, I just decided it's time to invest in some serious make-up. My Wet and Wild just isn't cutting it anymore :)
I love it. Sounds kinda scary - hmmm...I'll have to watch out for those monster eyes next time I see you :)
I think my eyes at 7:30 in the morning could be classified as "bloated and pickled" eyes.
Um, ok, Andrew is ME again. Darn that Associate Contributer! Serious pay decrease...
